Established in the middle of the Brazilian industrialization process, Fras-le is celebrating 55 years of innovation and leadership. The company has effectively marked the beginning of the domestic manufacturing of automotive components, which, until then, used to be imported. Found on February 22, 1954 after the name of its founder, Francisco Stédile, and controlled by Randon S.A.- Implementos e Participações since 1996, Fras-le is a listed company with shares traded on stock markets, a market leader included among the five largest manufacturers of friction materials worldwide. “Our biggest achievement is the credibility of the brand both in Brazil and abroad”, states the CEO of Fras-le, Daniel Randon, who attributes the success of the company to its continuous modernization in processes, systems, and people development.
 With more than 9,000 P/Ns that includes brake linings and pads, clutch facings and industrial products, Fras-le supplies heavy brake linings for OEM companies (trucks and buses), in addition to supplying products for the light line (automobiles) and for the Aftermarket. At the international level, the company has had very important advancements as well.                              
This performance is basically due to the investments that the company has historically made in research and development, among other factors. One of the them is the Research and Development Center, one of the most modern in Latin America. Among its important breakthroughs, Fras-le was the first manufacturer of friction materials in Brazil to be certified to ISO 9001, being also certified to QS 9000 and ISO 14001 (environmental management), in addition to ISO TS 16949.   
           The most recent domestic investments include the expansion of our industrial facilities in Brazil and the construction, together with the other Randon Companies, of a 87-hectare Proving Ground to test vehicles and auto parts. As far as investments abroad, the construction works of Fras-le Friction Material Pinghu Co.Lltd., in China, are in their final phase. Additionally, the company has operated Fras-le Alabama, in the United States, since October 2008. 
           With plants in the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), China and in the United States, distribution centers in Argentina and Europe and commercial operations in the United States, Chile, Europe, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Africa and China, the company maintains a well-structured team to meet the needs of customers located throughout the five continents.
